Northern Irish defender achieves impressive feat

Current Man United and Northern Ireland international defender Jonny Evans joins the illustrious list of players who have won every possible trophy for the Red Devils.

Evans, who started his professional career moving through the ranks of Manchester United made his debut for the Reds on 26 September 2007 against Coventry City in the League Cup which ended in a 2-0 defeat. He then went on to make his Champions League debut against Dyano Kyiv within the space of a few weeks.

Despite his earlier glimpses in the Cup runs, he had to wait for over an year to make his Premier League debut against Chelsea on the 21st of September 2008.

Evans stayed for another 7 years in Manchester following several loan spells and eventually moved to West Bromwich Albion on a permanent transfer after winning 1x UEFA Champions League, 3x English Premier League, 1x FIFA Club World Cup, and 2x English League Cup.

Evans had many ups and downs during his 3 seasons long spell with The Baggies, even winning the Players’ Player of the Season award in his very first season, however in his last season they sunk back-down to the Championship under his captaincy despite finishing in 10th the earlier season.

After the relegation setback, he jumped ships to Leicester the very next season where he spent 5 seasons and added an FA Cup to his cabinet.

After getting released by Leicester, Evans firstly trained with the Manchester United team at Carrington as a measure of getting his fitness but due to the injury cricis at Old Trafford he was offered a one-year deal at the club. Although the season was not as how the fans expected, Manchester United went on to win the FA Cup completing Evans’ cabinet as he won every possible trophy for the club during his two stints.

Evans is one of the few players to have won every possible trophy for a single club and the very first player to do so from his home country.
