Salhesh Youth Club, Siraha has won the title of the 11th edition of Rara Gold Cup football tournament.
Salhesh Youth Club won the title by defeating the home team Rara Football Club 4-2 in a tiebreaker in the final which was held on Wednesday at the ground of Rajarani, Dhankuta.
Both teams played 1-1 draw at regulation time.
In regulation time, Faguram Tharu scored a goal for Salhesh while Goalkeeper Pradip Bhandari netted a goal for Home Team.
With the win, Salhesh Youth Club received 5 lakh rupees while the runner-up Rara FC recieved 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees.
Faguram Tharu of Salhesh was declared the player of the match of the tournament and recived 7 thousand rupees.
Similarly, Ram Wajee of Rara was declared the best player of the tournament. He has received 50 thousand rupees.
Yunish Chaudhary of Salhesh was declared the best goalkeeper for the category award. He got 11 thousand rupees. Aditya Shakya, Armand Beadoum, Asim Rai, Ashish Chapagain, Yogesh Gurung and Nishan Limbu were declared the top scorer awards. They all received 2 thousand each.
