Golden Star Youth Club Junior, Bhaluwa, Sunsari has won the title of the 1st Budhiganga Monsoon Football Tournament.
Golden Star Junior won the title by defeating the Golden Star Youth Club, Bhaluwa, Sunsari 3-1 on penalties in the final which was held on Saturday at the ground of Shree Karmavir Ma Vi ground, Budhiganga-5, Hattimuda, Morang.
Both teams played 1-1 draw in the regulation time. In regulation time, Shrawan Gachhadar scored a goal for defeated Golden Star Youth Club while Aman Thandar scored a goal for Golden Star Youth Club Junior.
The champions received NRs 25 thousand while runners up team got NRs 15 thousand.
Anil Chaudhary of defeated Golden Star Youth Club was declared the player of the match and recievd NRs 500.
Deva Kumar Rishidev of Golden Star Youth Club Junior was declared the player of the tournament. He received NRs 1500 cash and trophy for the award.
The best goalkeeper was Sulav Biswas of Golden Star Youth Club Junior. Golden Star Youth Club Junior’s Shubam Gachhadar and Golden Star Youth Club’s Shrawan Gachhadar were the joint highest goal scorers of the tournament. Sudip Sardar of Budhiganga Youth Club was declared the rising player of the tournament.
Each of the individual award winners collected NRs 1,000 each.
Prizes were distributed by Parliament Member of Koshi Province and former Economic and Social Minister of Koshi province Jivan Acharya.
