Secretary General of Nepal School Sports Federation and ISF Executive Member Raj Kumar Karki is leaving for France today to participate in the Olympic Torch Relay to be held in Lille, France on July 2, 2024. On behalf of ISF, President Laurent Petrynka (France), ISF Executive Member Raj Kumar Karki (Nepal) and School Sport Federation President Roman Greba (Ukraine) are representing.
Mr. Raj Kumar Karki is probably the first Nepali to participate in the Olympic Torch Relay, which is a matter of pride not only for the Nepali sports world but also for the nation as a whole. On the same occasion, I was also informed about the issues that will be discussed between the President of ISF and the President of School Sport Foundation regarding the necessary support, sports materials and other matters for Nepal’s participation in the ISF Gymnasiade 2024/School Summer Olympics to be held in Manama, Bahrain this October.
He expressed special thanks and gratitude to the President of the ISF for providing such a golden opportunity.
He also expressed his thanks to IOC, and Olympic host country France.
