Matthew Wade reprimanded for breaching ICC Code of Conduct

Australia’s wicket-keeper Matthew Wade has been handed an official reprimand after having breached the Level 1 of ICC Code of Conduct.

Against England in Barbados, Wade played a delivery from Adil Rashid in the 18th over back to the bowler but expected it to be called a ‘dead ball’ by the umpire. However, the umpires didn’t make the ‘dead ball’ call, Wade agruend with umpire Nitin Menon over the decision.

The wicket-keeper batter was found in breach of Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during an International Match.
