Manchester City who are in pole position to win the title having a game in hand might be forced to survive the remaining four games of the season without Ederson after the goalkeeper suffered an injury against Nottingham Forest and had to be subbed off at the half time.
With City sitting just one point below current league leaders Arsenal in the middle of an intense two-horse title race, an injury to their first choice goalkeeper would come as a huge blow. But, Guardiola’s side will have to cope without their first choice between the sticks as Ederson was seen leaving the City Ground with his arm in an arm sling.
His injury was caused after a collision with Forest defender Willy Boly, and received treatment on the pitch before being subbed off at half time. He was replaced by Stefan Ortega, who finished the rest of the game.
