Golden Star Youth Club, Bhaluwa, Sunsari has reached the semi-finals of ongoing 1st Budhiganga monsoon football tournament.
Golden Star defeated Duhabi-4, Sunsari 2-1 in the second quarter-finals match held at Shree Karmavir Ma Vi ground, Budhiganga-5, Hattimuda, Morang.
In the victory of Golden Star, Dilip Chaudhary and Shawan Gachhadar scored one goal each. Duhabi’s Rabi Rajbanshi scored a goal.
Sharwan Gachhadar was named the player of the match and received Nrs 500 cash.
Golden Star Youth Club (Junior), Bhaluwa, Sunsari will play against PPUFC, Motipur, Morang in the third quarterfinals match on Monday.
12 teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of Nrs 25,000. Runners up team will get Nrs 15,000.
