Golden Star Youth Club (Junior), Bhaluwa, Sunsari advanced to the semi-finals of the 1st Budhiganga monsoon football tournament.
Golden Star beat PPUFC, Motipur, Morang 4-2 on penalties in the third quarter-finals match at Shree Karmavir Ma Vi ground, Budhiganga-5, Hattimuda, Morang on Monday and made it to the last four.
Both teams played goalless draw at regulation time.
Goalkeeper of Golden Star Sulav Biswas was adjudged man of the match and received Nrs 500 cash. He saved two penalties.
Junior Football Club, Lakhantari, Morang and Green City Football Club, Banarjhula, Morang will face off in the fourth quarter-final match on Tuesday.
12 teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of Nrs 25,000. Runners up team will get Nrs 15,000.
