Jude Bellingham has suffered a muscle injury in his lower left leg ruling him out for a month and is expected to return back after the September international window.
The 21-year-old midfielder picked up the injury during the training session on Friday as confirmed by head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Ancelotti stated it as “a knock” but after further assessments, the club’s statement added, “Following tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid medical services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantar muscle of his right leg.”
The injury is likely to rule Bellingham out of England’s upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against the Republic of Ireland on September 7 and Finland on September 10.
